Candidates ready for exams will be issued with individual letters by their class teachers in the weeks leading up to the exam. Detailed exam information will be available on the notice board, please ensure you read it carefully. It maybe necessary for your child to attend extra lessons, please take note of the date and time as this maybe a different day to your childs normal lesson (an extra fee maybe charged). When issued with your letter please enusre all details are correct, complete the form and return it to the desk with payment before the exam day. In the few weeks before the exam, a list of entrants will be posted on the notice board, please ensure you check all names are spelt correctly as this list will be used for certificates and exam documents.
EXAM UNIFORM
All candidates must wear the following uniform (seniors please discuss options with your teacher).
BOYS

Black / white / purple T-shirt
Black tights / leggings / shorts
Ballet – Black shoes & elastic bar, white ankle socks.
Tap – Black (or white) tap shoes, black / white ankle socks.
GIRLS
U.T.D Purple leotard, skirt* and hairband (hairband optional for tap – scrunchie / ribbon acceptable).
Ballet – Pink ankle socks (pink tights for level 3 up) pink ballet shoes & elastic bar (ribbon for level 3 up)
Tap – White ankle socks, white tap shoes (black optional for level 4 upwards)**
*Ballet Levels 4, 5 and 6 a U.T.D regulation skirt will be loaned to you on the exam day.
**Tap Level 4 and upwards shimmer tights and regulation leotard are acceptable.
Also please note:
– Candidates must be well presented (smart uniform, clean shoes)
– Long hair in a bun and net, short hair should be neat (no fringes), a pony tail is acceptable for tap levels
– No jewellery, make up or nail varnish – marks will be deducted for this. Please cover jewellery if you are unable to remove it.
Exam arrival times will be published on the notice board 1 – 2 weeks before the exam, these are a guide only and it is possible we could run late (or early!) on the day.
